LoveChirp.com is calling on romantics anywhere in the world to get their creative juices flowing and submit sweet, romantic, sexy or funny love messages in all languages for sweethearts across the globe - while getting paid for their creativity.
Anyone interested in participating can head to
LoveChirp.com and create a 142 character love-themed message (142 in honour of the 14/2 holiday). The user can then turn that message into a voice-over in any language, or wait for others to record it. Once submitted to LoveChirp.com, the message is ready for others to send to their lover or their secret crush.
For those who want to send one of the special messages and surprise their sweethearts or anonymous lovers in a unique way,
LoveChirp.com simply asks for the phone number or email address of their love target. The recipient then receives a phone call or email that plays the LoveChirp to them.
Sending a message costs less than the price of a coffee.
Additionally, each time a contribution is used, creators receive 50 percent of the resulting profits, which they can choose to keep or to share the love by donating it to one of several charities. Last but not least, the LoveChirp founders pledge to match all donations.
Each LoveChirp is rated by the public; the higher the rating the better the chance it has to be sent around the globe, thus increasing the payment to the creator for their work.
LoveChirp was built the weekend before Valentine’s Day by a group of friends taking part in Startup Weekend Athens 2012, which included the multi-national
Babelverse team (
LeWeb Award winners). With Valentine’s Day upon them, they had quite a challenge ahead to present the most awesome Valentine’s day application ever - in only 3 days.
“
Now, no matter what language barriers there may be between you and your sweetheart or secret crush, there is a fun new way to surprise them on this very sexy holiday,” said French co-founder Mayel de Borniol.
“
LoveChirp allows you to give your lover something that’s unique and that they have never received before. It also allows content creators to get paid for the Cupid’s arrows they so craftily create.” said co-founder Josef Dunne
